Peter Martin is a partner and principal founder of Martin & Martin Law along with his wife, Colleen Martin. Peter’s successful practice spans over 30 years of positive results for his clients in trial and appellate courts, at the state and federal levels throughout Texas and across the region, including Oklahoma and Colorado. Peter’s areas of concentration include construction law, personal injury, commercial litigation, contracts, subrogation, professional liability, insurance defense, property damage, mediation, arbitration, and trials. His varied litigation practice has included products liability for fire/explosion malfunctions; multi-party construction defect; construction personal injury, construction contract/fraud/lien disputes; transportation litigation; and multi-party coverage disputes. In addition, Peter has handled corporate/shareholder/employment matters; has drafted and negotiated construction contracts and subcontracts; mediated informally and formally complex construction disputes and has acted as an expert witness on attorneys’ fees. Peter has taught personal injury trial law in the alternative dispute resolution program at Southern Methodist University and has given various lectures on construction law and contracts.
